Our Mission

Quillane Welsh Cobs breeds for a balanced, intelligent individual possessing true Welsh character, through preservation of the original Welsh Cob ideals, and without the sacrifice of substance and type. We strive to produce consistently hardy individuals that are, with three clear, active gaits, that have the scope and rideability to succeed in competition suited to the modern riding, jumping and driving disciplines.

  • Quillane Apollo

    (Nebo Calonog x Fair Tegolin y Penrhyn)

    Apollo's numerous credentials include multiple WPCSA Supreme Championships in hand, USDF breed show titles, international experience at the Preliminary Level in Combined Driving, and earning his riders qualifying scores at USDF competitions through second level. Apollo is a very prepotent stallion. He produces typey, correct performance cobs who demonstrate talent and willingness in all spheres.

  • Gallod Auryn

    (Nebo Calonog x Gallod Rhosyn Aur)

    “Auryn” is pronounced “I – Rin” Lofty movement, kind temperment, type, and brains. He has a superior work ethic and willing attitude. Auryn won overall supreme champion in hand at Ponies on the Hudson in 2010, and placed third Nationally for WPCSA high point mature section D stallions.

  • *Nebo Knight Ryder

    (Geler Dago x Nebo Princess Di)

    Ryder was imported to the U.S.A. as a weanling from the Nebo Stud. We purchased him in November of 2010 and spent 2011 showing him successfully in hand, winning multiple overall supreme championships and earning the 2011 National Section D Stallion year end championship. He possesses true welsh bone, deep body, and movement

    Quillane Welsh Cobs is currently offering three of our exceptional welsh cob stallions at stud for 2015 via AI. If you are interested in breeding to Quillane Apollo, Nebo Knight Ryder, or Nebo Knight Ryder contact us for current breeding contract. Please note block out dates apply due to our showing schedule. Purebred and Partbred mares welcome. Multiple mare discounts also available. All offspring are eligible for registration with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America.

    While our offspring can hold their own in a breed ring, we are dedicated to producing and promoting our welsh cobs for open venues. Visit our sales page for our latest and greatest.   • RPSI Inspection

    RPSI Premium Silver for 2015 welsh cob foals Quillane Affair and Quillane Axell. Both sired by Quillane Apollo and bred by Claire Philpott. The dams Coblynau Cwm Tawe and Coblynau Cileos were accepted into Stud Book 1.

  • Orleton Farm

    First place in dressage for Quillane Apollo and Amy Riley at Orleton Farm in the Intermediate Single Horse division. They also won the high score dressage award sponsored by Driving Essentials with a 27.76%. Highlight Clips

  • Quillane Absolute

    Three year old Quillane Absolute won reserve champion at his first ever horse show. He placed second in both of his training level tests. Jen McKeen you are amazing!

     

     

  • Royal Success!

    Quillane Apollo swept the Welsh Pleasure Driving Division  at The Royal Winter Fair 2014 Toronto, Canada. See his video on youtube.

    Nebo Knight Ryder won the mature c/d Stallion class and reserve champion Cob  under judge Len Bigley of the Llanarth Stud.

     

     

  • Solara at GMHA

    VT - Congratulations to Solara (Quillane Apollo x Madoc Countess) on placing third at GMHA last weekend with a clean marathon run and a smokin cones course. Solara is trained and driven by Sue Rogers and owned by Karen Libby.

  • Lindsey Fair

    Ontario, Canada -Quillane Audacious at the Lindsay Fair 2014. Audrey was first in her 2 and under cob class, and Reserve Champion Cob with her owner Jen Mckeen. Audrey has qualified for the Champion of Champions class at the Roal Winter Fair.

  • Glen Willow CDE

    Glen Willow, PA - Nebo Knight Ryder, competing at the 2014 National Prelim ADS Championships - Glen Willow CDE. Withdrew from marathon due to the heat but had an excellent adventure overall.

  • Gallod Auryn wins at Caledon

    Caledon, Ontario- Section D Stallion Gallod Auryn and Kim Ralson of Ryeland Welsh Cobs showing at Caledon in Canada. Auryn won the Cob Championship and reserve in the Champion of Champions.

  • Elk Creek CDE

    ELk Creek, MD - Quillane Apollo- first Intermediate CDE, driven by Sarah Bates. Second place for the division. Nebo Knight Ryder -first full CDE.. Third place in cones and 6th over all after a clean marathon in the Prelim single Pony division.

  • Auryn In Canada

    Quillane Welsh Cobs is pleased to announce that Section D Welsh Cob Stallion Gallod Auryn (Nebo Calonog x Gallod Rhosyn Aur) will be on lease to Ryeland Welsh Cobs -Enniskillen, Ontario beginning in May of 2014. Auryn will be offered at public stud to a few outside approved mares (live cover only) as space permits. Please contact us for mare application and contract info.

  • The Toronto Royal

    Quillane Audacious (Gallod Auryn x Dellas Dancing Duchess) 2013 Section D Filly Owned and shown by Jen Mckeen, placed First in her foal/yearling class, Champion Youngstock, and Reserve Champion Cob at the Royal WinterFair Toronto, Canada.
